1   Scope  
This Note gives the available PEN's (42 in number) which were originally issued between 1979 to 1998, for guidance of Statutory Authorities and Industry.

2   Purpose  
This Note aims to make available technical knowledge on earlier Australia practice with Pressure Equipment as a useful background to some Standards and APEK guidance notes.

3   Currency  
These notes were current in 1998 and a number had been absorbed into revised Standards. Many are still applicable and provide a background to some current requirements in Standards ("History is the prologue to the Future").
Regulatories no longer issue or require or endorse these Notes, nor take any responsibility for their use.
